Florence, Italy is one of the must see cities in all of Italy.  From Michangelo's
"The Statue of David" to the famous bridge the Ponte Vecchi Florence has
famous and infamous sites to been seen.
 


 
 
 
 
 
 

The David by Michangelo is one of Italy's national treasures.  Located in the Academy museum in Florence thousands of people come to Florence each year just to see the David.  Until recent the David was allowed to be photographed by tourists.  Now it is a national law that tourist are not allowed to take photos of the statue.

 
 
 

       The famous Ponte Vecchi bridge dates back to before World War II and famous, because it was no ruined by the bombing of the war. It connects the two sides of Florence and along the bridge are many shops that people stop into on their way across the river.








The Duomo, which is Italian means "church", is the third largest church in the world.  The Duomo is located in the exact center of Florence and all roads eventually lead to it in Florence.
